dreams as inspired by Leslie (leskc@mindsay)
I have always considered my dreams to be stories that I would like to take part in but never get the chance to in reality because of the physical confines of both the mind in the body and geographical integrity. It's rather frustrating really. But alas, often what I write about holds elements of what I dream.
My dreams can span continents and tie impossible worlds together mixing my home with my place of birth with a northern forrest and beyond. The very boundless nature of the human mind (I suppose contained only by the dreamers limitted or unlimitted imagination) let's them exist in a world that mixes the tangeable with the intangeable seemlessly.
I feel, my dreams enable me to connect with creatures that I otherwise would never be able to communicate with. For instance, just a few weeks ago I dreamed of a horse that i could speak to 'telepathically'. He had no name, rather, a feeling was in place of it. I later realized after waking that the horse was an outside embodiment of my own freedom and the feeling that was his name was the clue to my discovery of what the dream really meant.
Obviously when looking into the meaning of dreams one can come to many conclusions and it is something that you yourself can only determine. Dreams serve only to become whatever you will them or think them to mean. There may be elements thrown in by your subconcious as cautionary reminders from your every day life.
From my own experience what I believe dreams are, are stories, fantasies and basically anything your mind fancies or fears. They coencide with your concious life only as much as you want them to and let them. BUT, to dream is to live and to live is to imagine.
